The wisdom, smiles, talent and jubilation of these seniors is almost tangible. They represent humans who defy the stereotype of aging and prove that you are as young as you feel.

Think about it: 65+ years of living — witnessing the Cold War, Vietnam, the Gulf War along with the evolution of technology, popular culture, transportation, and more — is quite impressive when you consider the change seniors today have seen over the course of their lives.

1. Diana Nyad- Long-Distance Swimmer (68)

Diana Nyad is an American author, journalist, motivational speaker, and long-distance swimmer. In the 1970s, she became known as the world’s greatest long distance swimmer with her open-water achievements, including a record-breaking swim around Manhattan. She was the first swimmer to cross the Florida Straits without the security of a shark cage. She is considered one the toughest athletes in the world.

2. Tao Porchon-Lynch- The World’s Oldest Yoga Teacher (100)

Tao is an entrepreneur, award winning ballroom dancer, author, and the world’s oldest yoga teacher. She is the epitome of redefining that age is simply just a number. At 100 years, old Tao has accomplished so much her life and continues to inspire those around her with the teachings of discipline and control of the body and mind through yoga.

3. Jack Nicklaus- Professional Golfer (78)

Considered on the greatest golfer of all time. The “Golden Bear” still has it in him with his first hole-in-one at the 2015 Augusta National Golf Club Masters Tournament. Jack has dedicated his life to the game of golf and has written golf instructional books and works on golf course designs.

4. Helen Ruth Elam Van Winkle aka Baddiewinkle - Social Media Star (89)

Baddiewinkle became an internet sensation and social media star at the age of eighty-five. Popularized by her great granddaughter who posted a viral photo of her unique style. Her famous catchphrase, “stealing your man since 1928”, just goes to show how cool this grandma is!

Janet is a Yale and Brown educated economist who became the first female head of the U.S. Federal Reserve. According to Forbes, Yellen has quite the impact on the financial marketplace as “a single word from her can send asset prices swinging.”

Warren Buffet is known as one of the most successful investors of all time and one of the greatest philanthropists, donating the second-highest amount given to charity. Warren Buffet is still one of the most influential and most respected businessmen in the world. Buffest lives within his means and still lives in the same home he purchased in 1958.
